Day 1: Arrival and Exploring the City
After spending an exciting few days in Dubai, we made our way to Abu Dhabi. A comfortable taxi ride brought us to the capital of the UAE, where we checked into the Courtyard WTC by Marriott, booked through points. The hotel’s central location made it an excellent base for exploring the city.
Our first evening in Abu Dhabi was spent strolling around the lively neighborhood surrounding our hotel. We explored nearby malls, soaking in the city’s vibrant atmosphere, before making our way to the Abu Dhabi Corniche. The scenic promenade was perfect for an evening walk, and we couldn’t resist spending some time on the beach. The highlight of the evening was a breathtaking sunset over the Arabian Gulf, painting the sky in brilliant shades of orange and pink. As hunger set in, we found our way to Sangeetha, a well-known vegetarian restaurant, where we enjoyed a delicious South Indian meal before heading back to the hotel for a restful night.
Day 2: The Grand Mosque and Qasr Al Watan
The next morning, we set out to visit one of Abu Dhabi’s most iconic landmarks—the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. The mosque’s breathtaking architecture left us in complete awe, with its intricate carvings, magnificent chandeliers, and serene ambiance. It was a mesmerizing experience to witness the grandeur of this spiritual and cultural masterpiece.
As evening approached, we made our way to Qasr Al Watan, the stunning presidential palace that offers a deep dive into the UAE’s heritage and governance. Walking through the grand halls adorned with intricate details and stunning craftsmanship was a truly enriching experience. The visit ended on a magical note as we watched the mesmerizing dancing fountain show, a beautiful blend of lights, water, and music that captivated us all.
Day 3: Thrills at Ferrari World
The following day, we headed to Yas Island for an action-packed adventure at Ferrari World. It was an absolutely thrilling experience, with the highlight being our rides on Formula Rossa, Fiorano GT Challenge, Mission Ferrari, and Turbo Track. The exhilaration was so intense that we rode Turbo Track multiple times! We also had the chance to experience changing tires on a Ferrari Formula 1 car and participated in some exciting simulator races. It was an unforgettable day, easily the best time we’ve ever spent at a theme park!
Day 4: Departure
On our final day, we checked out of the hotel after breakfast and made our way to Abu Dhabi International Airport. Our journey home to Bangalore on Etihad was filled with reflections on the incredible memories we had made. Dubai & Abu Dhabi had given us the perfect mix of relaxation, adventure, and cultural exploration, leaving us with experiences to cherish for a lifetime.
